>Four of the above courses have pre-course work assignments to be completed. The S-290 also has a course pre-test. All completed pre-work and tests need to be brought to the first day of class. All pre-work is located online at the web address below:

>Classes are for New Hired Section Wardens, any other personnel, full or part time, are invited to attend any of these courses on a space available basis and providing they meet any course prerequisites.

It is with deep regret that the Roselle NJ Fire Dept annonces the passing of Fire Captain Jon Young on 11/16/11. arrangements are as follows viewing on Tuesday 11/22 from 6 to 9pm at St Genevieve’s Church, Monmouth Rd Elizabeth NJ, and service at 9:30 am Wednesday, 11/23 from St Gens.

The October meeting will be at the East Whitehouse Fire Co, on October 4, 2011., at 8 pm. The new glasses are in, and will be available.

Section 7 & 8 Would like to welcome Eric Weber and Matthew Fowler to the New Jersey Forest Fire Service as full time Fire Obsevers. Eric will be assigned to Catfish Fire Tower in Division A and Matthew will be assigned to Millville Tower in Division C. Both will start September 24 2011. Congratulations to both.

On September 13 2011, NJ 1 crew was dispatch in the Eastern Area to the Pagami Creek Fire in Minnesota. The fire is 100,000 acres.

The L-280 Fellowship to Leadership class has been rescheduled to November 5th and 6th @ Division A
